DeepBeats: Deep House Yoga
Organizer of DeepBeats: Deep House Yoga at Brooklyn Athletic Club
Yoga, loosely translated from its Sanskrit root – means “union” or “integration” – the bringing together of a sound mind & spirit within a sound body.
Riding at the forefront of the new health-conscious clubbing movement, NY-based DJ George Faya’s DeepBeats: Deep House Yoga is a union of not just the spiritual and physical, but a fusion of the ancient discipline of yoga with the sounds of today’s underground dance music. It brings together the mental and physical benefits of yoga with the spiritual connection we feel to the music we love. Embracing styles from ambient, world music & classical to groovy house, deep techno and more, Deep House Yoga deepens our yogic practice by connecting us – and each other – in a way only great music can.
Yogis of all skill levels can exercise the mind, body, & soul by taking their practice to the nightclub, or the studio – or wherever they lay down their mat as we crank up the grooves.
With fans like The Huffington Post, Time Out NY, Yelp and the New York Observer, Deep House Yoga has quickly made its mark as one of NYC’s most popular fitness events. Join us and see for yourself!
