Northside Lifting Club meets Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:45pm and Fridays at 7pm. Classes are 90 minutes. Weightlifting members receive two separate days of accessory programming to be done outside of class to further their training.
Gym membership, unlimited Group Training, Pools as well as access to the platforms and training floor during non-peak hours is all inclusive with the membership.

Northside Lifting Club is a competition Olympic Weightlifting program located inside of Brooklyn Athletic Club. Competition programming drives the team’s 3x per week practice, with adjustments made every class to accommodate ALL levels of Olympic Weightlifters—no prior experience is necessary to begin! Each class has an instructor led warm-up, followed by variations of the classic lifts (snatch, clean and jerk). Strength work is also incorporated into each training session in the form of pulling, pushing and/or squatting.
Olympic Weightlifting is a sport that has been around for quite some time and consists of 3 lifts: Snatch, Clean and Jerk (the latter are done together). In fact, It is the only barbell sport in the Olympics! As with any sport, Olympic Weightlifting is very process oriented. Expect to put in a lot of time under tension with lighter weights on your barbell while body position is strengthened and motor pattern is acquired. Our goal as a team is to compete in local USA Weightlifting sanctioned competitions. While competing is not a requirement to training with the team, it is highly encouraged as our programming is based on a competition schedule. Northside lifters are also highly encouraged to keep a training log.
