Margot Mejia is a graduate of New York University, and The Lab’s comprehensive Pilates apparatus certification, where she studied under Lawson Harris.
Margot has been raised in the fitness world her whole life. Her father was a former New York State champion wrestler, and acted as her personal trainer early on. She has played soccer, tennis, and has run track. She also has dabbled in boxing and wrestling.
Margot was introduced to Pilates by her mother, a former professional dancer for Boston Ballet, but came to know it’s restorative advantages when seeking relief from her own sports injuries. She believes there is always more to learn, and is currently continuing her Pilates education as an apprentice with Core Pilates.
Outside of Pilates she has worked on various projects with the Upright Citizens Brigade improv theater, is a published poet, and is currently studying at the Atlantic Acting School. She looks forward to applying her experience to reach your goals.
